Once you complete the steps, you will get an appointment (in office or over video). 

Once you complete your consultation and pay for the visit, you will receive an email with a copy of your medical marijuana recommendation form and receipt. 

It will also be faxed to the dispensary of your choice.  The dispensary will contact you normally once they input your information into their system. If you haven't heard from the dispensary by the end of the day or following day, you may contact them directly. 

No, it is a medical marijuana recommendation form. You will receive a print out if you have an in office consultation. You will receive an email with a copy if you have a video consultation. 

Yes, video consultations are available Monday-Saturday! 

No. Until it is federally legal, insurance will not cover medical marijuana consultations or products. You have to pay out of pocket. We accept cash or credit/debit cards.

IF you have an HSA account, then you may use your HSA card to pay for the consultation. (You would have a credit card from your insurance to use for medical expenses)

No, Dr. Aymond will not charge you if she does not recommend medical marijuana.

The following products are available:

Flower, Inhaler/Vape, Tinctures, Edibles, Topical Creams, and Extracts

Please check with your local dispensary to see what they have in stock. 

Each dispensary has different pricing and deals. The typical pricing is roughly $12-$22/gram for flower. The other products (cream to put on your skin, tinctures, edibles, vape/inhaler) are between $50-$150 depending on type and strength. Please check your local dispensary for pricing.

No, you do not have to be a resident of Louisiana to get a Louisiana medical marijuana recommendation and access to Louisiana medical marijuana dispensaries.

The medical marijuana recommendation is active for 1 year starting at date of service.

Renewals (at this time) can be completed over the phone or in office.

If your job requires any federal licensing (i.e. CDL), it is not recommended. You can lose your licensing as a result of using medical marijuana products. Please consider before scheduling an appointment.

If you are on probation,please discuss with your probation officer and/or attorney before scheduling an appointment.

If you are under pain management and/or taking opioids, discuss with your pain management doctor before scheduling an appointment. 

It is not recommended if you have tried it before and have had adverse side effects. 

If you are having severe side effects (for example shortness of breath, trouble breathing, chest pain) please call 911.

For mild side effects (for example mild anxiety, mild sedation), take a deep breath and avoid tasks like driving or making important desicions. Mild side effects will usually resolve given a few hours time. Please contact the office if they are persistant and/or you'd like to stop medical marijuana completely. Please contact the dispensary with any questions regarding changing your products.

Side efects typically occur with higher doses of THC.

Please contact the dispensary whenever you don't like a product or feel as if it is not helping. It is important to let them know so they are able to help you and other patients.

If you have no usage history, it may take some time for the dispensary to find the dosing and product type that works best for you. It can take a couple of weeks to a couple of months. Every person is different. 

If you are a long term user, a tolerance break can be beneficial. It can potentially allow your body to reset its tolerance levels. That would lead to those desired effects while using less product.

Please remember that each patient is different and treatment will be different.
